Salford Royal Hospital, Mayo Building

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust is a large teaching trust that provides hospital and community care to the people of Salford and beyond. The Mayo Building is part of Salford Royal’s £200 million redevelopment scheme to improve the hospital site.
The building is a state-of-the-art education and research facility at Salford Royal which opened in April 2009. The building is equipped with a full range of simulators to help train the doctors and nurses of the future and includes a simulated operating theatre with ‘Simulation Man’, a manikin that displays human like features.
Having already successfully installed furniture to the Salford Royal Hope Building, Godfrey Syrett were selected to supply furniture to the Mayo Building.
The Salford Royal Procurement Team wanted modern furniture that reflected the colour and design of the building itself, whilst helping to maintain impeccable infection control standards.
